This summer, we are proud to launch Ascen-DANCE, an all-new intensive experience designed specifically for dancers & dance educators aged 25 years and older! Running in conjunction with EMIA 2025, Ascen-DANCE invites participants to immerse themselves in a rich schedule of daily technique classes, creative workshops, and reflective professional development sessions. In addition to a variety of class offerings—from Horton and Limón Modern technique to Jazz, Afro-Caribbean, Ballet, and Improvisation—participants will engage in daily Professional Development sessions centered on themes such as Cultivation, Exploration, Collaboration, Growing Together, and Reflection. Each evening features unique social gatherings designed to foster community and connection across the cohort. The intensive culminates in a shared final performance, joining Ascen-DANCE participants and EMIA’s pre-professional and professional dancers in celebration of growth, artistry, and shared experience.
